The man convicted of killing three teenagers in Greenville County back in the 70's will go before the board this week, to be considered for early release. This will mark the 20th time the board has considered the case of now 72 year old, Charles Williams. He's serving three consecutive life sentences for killing 16 year old Kathy Smith, her friend 17 year old Cynthia Jones, and 19 year old Rhonda Adams. All three of their bodies were found dumped in the Reedy River.

An Upstate church held their annual prayer walk over the weekend. The Five Points Church in Easley says, over 1,500 people participated in Sunday's event. The group moved through multiple Upstate cities walking 100 miles in total, stopping to pray along the way. The church hopes they are able to reach the communities they serve through events such as this. Sunday marked the 10th annual installment of the church's prayer walk.

Spartanburg Police say, the man whose body was discovered beneath the North Forest Street bridge Monday morning is a homicide victim. Police were called to area of North Forest and Clinton Streets around 3 AM. Someone who was in the area when they arrived told them a man had been found under the bridge, apparently not breathing. The preliminary report from the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office says, he had been bludgeoned to death, beaten several times with some kind of blunt object.

Prisma Health re-opened the emergency department at its North Greenville Hospital at 7AM Monday. In a media release, Prisma Health said the project was made possible by a public-private partnership between Prisma Health and Greenville County. In September, the county approved nearly $13.5 million in one-time federal COVID-19 relief funds to help re-open the emergency department, which had been closed in 2020 when the hospital was used as a COVID unit.

Officers were call just before 11:30AM Sunday regarding a gunshot victim on Winsmith Avenue. The Spartanburg County coroner's office identified the victim as 60-year-old Benjamin Means. Police say there are searching for several male suspects and are asking anyone with information to call Spartanburg Police.

Fires in Anderson and Pickens Counties early Monday might have been weather-related. Thunderstorms packing strong wind gusts and spectacular lightning were in the area about the time fire broke out in an Anderson Church. Firefighters dispatched to the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Highway 81-North just after midnight say, the roof of the building was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

By Rob Jones A motorcyclist is dead after a weekend crash in the Upstate. The single vehicle collision happened around 9 PM Friday night on Highway 11, about 10 miles north of Walhalla. Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Highway 11 when ran out of the road, hit a ditch and overturned. The motorcyclist died at the scene, their identity has not yet been released.

An Upstate man is in custody after a standoff with deputies, Thursday. The Union County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance on Chapman Road. Upon arrival, Deputies arrived and spoke to the victim who told them that her boyfriend hit her in the face, pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her. The suspect, Jimmy William Lee fled the area and his vehicle was spotted by deputies, but they were unable to conduct a traffic stop on him.

A search warrant executed in Oconee County led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of nearly two pounds of meth. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant Thursday on Rebel Holler Drive in Fair Play. Both 47 year old William Timothy Nichols of Fair Play and 47 year old Rebecca Michelle Patterson were arrested in the bust. Nichols is charged with 4 counts of trafficking meth and one count of distribution.

A home in Anderson County was left damaged after a utility trailer crashed into it, Thursday evening. The Powdersville Fire Dept. responded and found that the trailer had smashed through part of the home's brick exterior, smashing a window in the process. Fire Department officials say the trailer came loose from a vehicle parked across the street, it then rolled and crashed into the house.
