There’s a brand-new development in the ongoing case of a man convicted of killing a Concord couple. Logan Clegg is filing an appeal because a judge stood by his decision to allow evidence of a warrantless cellphone search to be presented at his trial. Clegg was found guilty of murdering Stephen and Djeswende Reid and leaving their bodies in the woods back in 2022. He ended up being sentenced to 100 years behind bars.

Embattled Maine Democrat Graham Platner is revealing when he’ll officially be withdrawing his bid to be the next United States senator from the Pine Tree State. Platner says he’ll drop out of the race Monday after suspending his bid earlier this week due to allegations of sexual assault that he’s denied. A number of Democrats are already lining up to be the party’s new nominee with whoever comes out on top taking on Republican incumbent Senator Susan Collins in November.

JetBlue is no longer offering flights out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The final plane took off from the airport yesterday and returned to Orlando International Airport in Florida. JetBlue arrived in Manchester in January 2025, but the carrier says it chose to end service on a number of underperforming routes. Officials at the airport say they’d gladly welcome JetBlue back in the future.

There is some sad news involving a woman in Exeter who was injured during a fire. Authorities say she ended up passing away after Tuesday night’s blaze at a condominium on Stonewall Way. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the structure and later discovered the victim severely burned. She died yesterday at a Boston hospital, but her name hasn’t been released. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but isn’t believed to be suspicious.

Following months of controversies, an embattled Graham Platner is suspending his bid for the United States Senate. Earlier this week, a report surfaced claiming the Democrat from Maine sexually assaulted an ex-girlfriend while he was under the influence of alcohol five years ago. Platner is denying those claims and, in a video posted online, criticized what he calls the corporate media for its reporting.

Former New Hampshire state Senator Andy Sanborn awaits sentencing in October. He pleaded guilty yesterday after being accused of using over 250-thousand-dollars in federal COVID relief funds for personal items. The U.S Attorney’s Office said he received a total of 844-thousand-dollars during the pandemic from the Small Business Administration. At the time, 64-year-old Sanborn said the money would go directly to his business, the now-closed Concord Casino.

A new report from the state Attorney General’s Office says major reforms are needed at the Sununu Youth Services Center. The AG says the facility is operating legally and claims of abuse are unsupported, but challenges and dysfunction create instability for staff and youth. The report makes recommendations like restructuring leadership, increasing staffing and expanding de-escalation training.

A spokesperson for the New Hampshire State Police said distracted driving has become an increasing concern.

An off-duty police officer is recovering after being stabbed during an incident in Peterborough. Police were called to investigate a disturbance at a home on Grove Street Sunday and found a man dead of apparent gunshot wounds and the off-duty officer stabbed. The man who died was 24-year-old Jack Hutchings and there’s no word on the officer’s condition. The incident was the result of an altercation between two neighbors and the AG’s office says this wasn’t an officer-involved shooting.
