And it enters buoyed by cheering news from our grand-slam summer theatre festival: the 45th annual Fringe sold a heart-lifting 142,000 tickets, on the rise since the pandemic, to its 209 shows.

The show has pirouetted to ovations at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. And now, for one night only Saturday at Rapid Fire Theatre, SWAN?

By Liz Nicholls, 12thnight.ca Fringe Unforgettable goes into its final weekend with news as sunny as the weather’s supposed to be. Mid-week, the 45th annual edition of our mighty summer theatre bash had sold 4,500 more tickets to its 209 indoor shows than at the same point in the festivities last year — more than 130,000 so far, with a full weekend of fringing still to come.

As already announced (read about it here), some of the Fringe’s hot-ticket shows will be held over in three venues, Fringe Theatre‘s Westbury in the Arts Barns, the Varscona, and Rapid Fire Exchange Theatre.
