The dog food brand Canidae has partnered with Walker Hayes on an original song, "Love Is a Four-Legged Word," to introduce its new Heartland product line, timed to coincide with National Dog Day. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has announced a partnership with Interplay Learning to expand simulation-based facilities maintenance training for more than 500 technicians across all seven of the airport's terminals. The program offers on-demand training in HVAC, building automation, electrical systems, pumps, boilers, and safety to address an aging workforce and rising demand for skilled maintenance talent.

Several Jersey Shore municipalities will extend their weekly fireworks shows into Labor Day weekend. Atlantic City visitors will have their final opportunity of the season to witness fireworks above the beach and boardwalk when Tropicana Atlantic City hosts a beachfront display at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5. Longport plans an end-of-summer fireworks display at dusk on Monday, Aug. 31, which was rescheduled due to weather.

Penn State Extension is launching a free virtual walking program, Everybody Walk Across Pennsylvania, running from Sept. 14 through Nov. 9. Flexibility and social support are emphasized through the program. Participants are encouraged to take walks anytime, anywhere — from parks and neighborhoods to backyards — even with dogs. Individuals or groups can participate either solo or in teams of up to five, with the goal of walking about 10 miles per week over eight weeks.
