PennDOT has announced a major closure of Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) as work continues on the $148.9 million Market Street Bridge construction project. The project involves replacing and rehabilitating the bridges that carry Market Street over Amtrak and I-76, as well as the Schuylkill River Trail and the CSX Railroad.

Neal McCoy left the Grand Ole Opry stage on Sept. 22 with far more than applause. During Opry 100 Honors Charley Pride, a celebration of the late Country Music Hall of Fame member, McCoy was invited to become the Opry's newest official member. The timing carried special meaning.
