Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman has announced the indictments of a father and son in Oldham County related to domestic violence. On Friday, an Oldham County Grand Jury indicted Tyler Schneble, 19, on felony charges related to multiple domestic violence incidents, including strangulation.
House Votes to Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent

Under the Sunshine Protection Act, clocks would stay one hour ahead year-round, meaning sunrises and sunsets would be later in the winter and earlier in the summer. States could remain on standard time if they pass an exemption before the law takes effect.
Scott County Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography
AUSTIN, Ind. — Indiana State Police arrested an Austin man following an investigation that began in March after a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detectives with the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in Sellersburg launched the investigation after receiving information indicating that images of child sexual abuse material had been uploaded through an electronic service provider.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Following a report from the Office of the State Budget Director that General Fund receipts for fiscal year 2026 saw a 1.7% increase, marking the seventh consecutive budget surplus for the commonwealth, Gov. The Jefferson County Health Department is notifying residents that confirmed cases of Cyclospora infection (cyclosporiasis) have been identified among county residents. Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that can cause an intestinal illness known as cyclosporiasis. Fresh produce, including certain fruits and vegetables, has been associated with Cyclospora outbreaks in the past. Cyclospora is not typically spread directly from person to person.
Natural Resources Commission Seeks Input on Proposed Wildlife Rule Changes

This is the last comment period before the NRC votes to adopt, reject or modify the proposed changes. Locally, one proposed change would include increasing the deer antlerless bag limit in Franklin County.
