The body of cricket great Shane Warne has arrived in Melbourne on a charter flight from Thailand where the 52-year-old died from a suspected heart attack one week ago. Warne’s sudden passing triggered widespread grief as fans mourned the loss of one of the world’s best-ever cricket players.

Bunnings are holding a nationwide sausage sizzle fundraiser for victims of the flood disaster in New South Wales and Queensland. The proceeds from every Bunnings sausage sold this Friday (March 11) between 9am and 4pm will go to communities worst hit by the floodwaters. Also, for the first time, customers will be able to pay for their snag digitally and, if they choose, have the option of making an additional donation.

After 37 years, Aussie TV soap Neighbours has been axed, it has been confirmed. The news was confirmed from the show’s official Twitter account on Thursday afternoon. “We are so sorry to say that after nearly 37 years and almost 9000 episodes broadcast we have to confirm that Neighbours will cease production in June,” the Twitter post read.

One of Aussie music’s biggest names, Glenn Wheatley, has died at the age of 74. The former bass player for the Masters Apprentices, who went on to navigate the careers of Little River Band and John Farnham and run a media empire died on Tuesday. It’s understood he died from complications with COVID-19 on Tuesday after contracting the virus over the Christmas period. He had been in intensive care.
