A virtual Open House is being offered by the Town of Collingwood to learn about the proposal for the private development of Terminals Point. The development site is about one acre of the total 20 acres of land at the Collingwood Spit. The design will be presented and will include new uses to activate the Spit. The Open House takes place December 3rd from 6:30-7:30pm. It will be online via Zoom with an in-person also offered at the Public Library – registration is required.
THREE WANTED IN CANNABIS THEFTS
Nottawasaga OPP is investigating two break and enters that occurred at local businesses in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 15, 2025…and they believe the same suspects are responsible for both. The first incident was around 3:30 a.m. at a business located on Barrie Street in Essa Township. Suspects forced entry through the front door and stole a quantity of cannabis products. The second occurred shortly after 4:00 a.m. at a business located on Mill Street in Angus.
THIEVES TARGET DUNDALK LCBO
Grey County OPP are looking for a pair of thieves who stole just under 13-hundred dollars of booze from the Dundalk LCBO yesterday (Nov. 16th) The suspects are described as south Asian males, one wearing a dark winter coat with a white dotted sweater and white shoes, the other wearing a black puffy black hoodie style coat. The suspects fled in a white Hyundai Sonata with Ontario licence plate DEDX 839. The vehicle has noticeable damage to the rear driver’s side fender.
PROVINCIAL FUNDS FOR MENTAL HEALTH FOR FIRE SERVICE PERSONNEL
The province is investing $75,000 in mental health support three area fire services. Pentanguishene, Orillia and Midland Fire Services will each receive 25-thousand dollars through the Mental Health Supports for Public Safety Personnel Program. Ontario’s Minister of Emergency Preparedness and Response & MPP for Simcoe North, Jill Dunlop says it will mean tailored mental health supports for those who protect Simcoe North and help to keep communities safe.

GEORGIAN COLLEGE OPEN HOUSES NOV. 15TH Georgian College campuses will be holding an Open House tomorrow. Secondary school students or those wishing to upgrade their education are invited to learn more about Georgian’s programs, campus life and student services. At the Barrie Campus, the Open House is from 9am to 2pm, at the Midland, Orangeville and Owen Sound campuses it runs from 9am to noon.

All dogs and cats over three months of age must be vaccinated against rabies, according to the law. At the low-cost clinics it’s – $25 and cash only, and no appointment is necessary. TINY TOWNSHIP STEPS UP FOR MORE STUDY OF MEAFORD PROJECT
A controversial proposed pumped storage project in Meaford has now garnered the concern of neighbouring townships. Tiny Township Council unanimously passed a resolution calling for comprehensive independent studies of TC Energy’s project citing concern that the province has narrowly defined Meaford as the sole “host community,” despite the fact that the mega-project will impact all Georgian Bay municipalities.
OFFICER HIT DURING TRAFFIC STOP IN MEAFORD
An OPP officer was clipped by a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop last night in Meaford. It happened on Highway 26, near Algonquin Drive. The officer’s injuries were minor. A 70 year old Hamilton man faces several charges. The OPP is reminding motorists to respect Ontario’s Move Over Law. When approaching an emergency vehicle stopped with its lights flashing, motorists must slow down and, if safe, move into another lane.
