The Charlotte Hornets are acquiring shooting guard Buddy Hield from the Atlanta Hawks in a deal for forward Dorian Finney-Smith, ESPN reported Tuesday. The Hornets will also net point guard Ryan Nembhard and cash considerations as part of the trade. Charlotte will reportedly waive Nembhard. According to ESPN, Atlanta will create a $2.1 million trade exception and Charlotte will create a $4.5 million trade exception.

All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard has agreed to a two-year, $115 million contract extension with the Toronto Raptors, plus a player option for the 2028-29 season, ESPN reported on Tuesday. The report, citing Leonard’s agent Harrison Gaines of Slash Sports, said Leonard has three years and $165 million on his deal with the Raptors, who re-obtained the player on Sept. 14 in a long-delayed trade from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Only one week after the news of the Town of Collierville parting ways with Town Administrator Molly Mehner, the mayor of Collierville has appointed an interim replacement. At this time, all traffic lanes are closed off on East Mallory Ave between Kansas St and Florida St. The estimated completion time of repairs and reopening of traffic lanes is currently unknown.
