A judge imposed a 42-month prison sentence but suspended it. Danbury police say Damasceno and another man controlled and profited from a woman’s prostitution activities in 2021.

New York Man Accused of Threatening Ridgefield Couple 47 year old Domenico Bruno of the Bronx faces 20 threatening and harassment charges. Ridgefield police say Bruno repeatedly threatened to kill a local couple and their relatives over an alleged debt. Bruno was released on 50 thousand dollars bond and is scheduled for arraignment today in Danbury.

Woman Charged in Death of Danbury Pedestrian 38 year old Meralis Rivera-Maldonado of Waterbury faces manslaughter, DUI and reckless driving charges in the death of 43 year old Marco Leon-Lopez of Danbury. Police say Rivera-Maldonado struck Leon-Lopez and drove more than 180 feet with him on the hood before hitting two parked cars.

Danbury Man Faces Felony Gun Charge 30 year old Aaron Freeze of Danbury faces a felony gun charge following a traffic stop in Patterson, New York. Putnam County deputies say they found a loaded handgun in his vehicle and Freeze did not have a pistol permit. He also received tickets for registration and license plate violations.

Man Sentenced for Killing Danbury Taxi Driver A New York judge sentenced 28 year old Santos Vasquez-Ramirez to 21 years in prison for killing Danbury taxi driver Aurelio Orbez after a dispute over an unpaid fare. Vasquez-Ramirez pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Orbez’s body was found in a Putnam County reservoir.
