By: Taati Niilenge The Erongo police seek public assistance in tracing 17-year-old Nathan Nowaseb who went missing in Swakopmund. According to Erongo police spokesperson, senior inspector Judith Shomongula, it is alleged that Nowaseb left his family house at Erf. No. 32, Stefanus Shipanga Street on Sunday 16 August 2026 at 15h00. It was further alleged that the Grade 9 learner of Grandridge Private school in Swakopmund has a history of disappearing from home and returning after a few days.

A caretaker will be available on the bus during the school holiday period, checking on the children, assisting them where necessary and making sure they are comfortable, while also providing them with complimentary snacks during the journey.

By: Maria Namupala The Ondangwa Town Council in collaboration with the Directorate of Veterinary Services, has launched an urgent vaccination campaign, following a confirmed positive case of rabies in Ondangwa Extension 4. The council’s public relations officer Petrina Shitalangaho-Mutikisha said to contain the outbreak and prevent further spread, local authorities are launching a targeted mass vaccination campaign starting Wednesday.

Residents of Groot-Aub Settlement say they remain dissatisfied after a meeting with Minister of Urban and Rural Development James Sankwasa, citing concerns over land ownership, development, basic services and the future administration of the settlement. Community activist Cicel Titus, who has lived in Groot-Aub since 1977, says residents had hoped the meeting would provide clarity on long-standing challenges affecting the community.
