The report of the disturbance stated approximately eight youths were in a physical altercation on the corner of King Street and Wellington Street. Bystanders attempted to step in but were then assaulted by the youths.
City aiming for Banwell interchange to be completed in 2026
The City of Windsor is expediting work on an interchange at Banwell Road and the E.C. Row Expressway now that provincial funding has been announced. Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Minister of Transportation Prabmeet Sarkaria, and Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy were in Essex Monday to announce $50-million for the project.

Walker Aggregates will be conducting a blast at the Amherstburg Quarry, located at 667 Simcoe Street, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Residents in the area may hear loud noises, as well as may experience some rumbling. Walker produces high quality stone products, asphalt and ready mix concrete for construction projects across Ontario. The blast will help them find limestone for projects.

Ontario's Premier says "it shouldn't be too much longer" as the reviews of supervised consumption and treatment sites takes place. Doug Ford was in Essex on Monday for a funding announcement to build an interchange at E.C. Row and Banwell, but was asked during media questions about the progress of the ongoing review. Ford says out of the 21 sites, there are only four more locations that need to go through the review.

Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Windsor
The Windsor Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a vehicle collision in which a pedestrian suffered serious injuries. On March 11, 2024, shortly after 8 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 11500 block of McNorton Street for a report of a motor vehicle collision. Through investigation, officers learned that a vehicle travelling eastbound on McNorton struck a pedestrian. The 87-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
