March 2022 This special issue celebrates the 20th anniversary of the International Conference on Software Reuse (ICSR). ICSR is the premier event for software reuse research and technology held in Montpellier, France, June 15-17, 2022: https://www.ICSR2022.org. The guiding theme of ICSR 2022 is reuse and software quality.

January 2022 In recent years, the massive increase in the use of mobile applications has greatly influenced the way people go about their daily life. Mobile platforms are rapidly evolving to continuously integrate diverse and powerful capabilities, including various sensors, cameras, wireless communication channels, as well as on−device memory and disk capacities.

March 2022 Computation and networking technologies are converging toward a massive deployment of software intensive systems relying on the recent and emerging technologies, such as Service-based Systems, Cloud Computing and Software Defined Networks. Softwarization and virtualisation are dominating the computation and the communication functions.

February 2022 Each year JSS has well over a thousand submissions. From those submissions, less than 200 are accepted. From these accepted papers, there are a few that stand out, and each year we pick from among these exemplary papers. By distinguishing themselves by generating 1000s of downloads, 100s of social media interactions, and even garnering cites quickly, the papers we have chosen represent the best JSS papers of 2021, the Top 3% of accepted submissions, or the Top 0.3% of all submissions.

February 2022 Bad reviewers are the bane of academic existence. Reviewer #2 can ruin your holiday with a paper rejection, rush your students out the door with a grant rejection, and haunt your upcoming months as you address inane comments on a Major Revision. Fortunately, there are many good reviewers out there doing their best to keep us sane, and today we pause, just a second, to salute this underappreciated group.
