Lawmakers passed SB 333, which will let voters decide if they want to create the city of Mulberry.

As Lawmakers scrambled to get bills passed on Sine Die, Senate Democrats opposed SB 222, the “Zuckerbucks Bill.” The bill prevents using outside donations to help fund elections, even though many counties struggle to pay for them. In the House, SB 63, which mandates cash bonds for crimes like shoplifting and street racing, passed. And the legislature delivered the mandated 2024 Fiscal Budget.

The house unanimously passed HB 430, creating a separate license for advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs). HB 873, a GOP penned bill which revised district boundaries for Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners passed in the Senate. SB 457, another GOP bill which bypassed the Augusta-Richmond Co. ad hoc redistricting committee also passed.
