Join us for a guided tour, original film footage showcase, and conversation with Jeebesh Bagchi of Raqs Media Collective, as part of At 25: Artists’ Early Worlds, Part II. For At 25: Artists’ Early Worlds, Part II, Raqs Media Collective has created a new commissioned artwork that revisits the very first project they set out to make together as a collective of young documentary filmmakers in 1993—a film that remains unrealised.
At 25: Artists’ Early Worlds, Part II
Asia Art Archive presents At 25: Artists’ Early Worlds, Part II as the concluding chapter of its 25th anniversary exhibition series. Building on the guiding question, “What were you doing at 25?,” this chapter features Salima Hashmi (b. 1942), Holly Lee (1953–2024), Bahc Yiso (1957–2004), and Raqs Media Collective (formed in 1992). The exhibition presents their early life trajectories and art practices through a curatorial approach that is deeply engaged with art history and archival research.
Hong Kong Art: Conversation and Book Launch with Oscar Ho Hing Kay, Wong Wo Bik, and Yeung Tong Lung
Jointly organised by M+ and Asia Art Archive (AAA), this public programme marks the highly anticipated launch of Hong Kong Art: A Curator’s History (1987–2004), a new publication by veteran curator, art critic, and artist Oscar Ho Hing Kay. Produced by AAA and published by Rizzoli, the book offers an invaluable insider perspective on the city’s art and cultural history accompanied by a large number of images published for the first time.
Try Try Zine Residency 2026 Launch and Workshops
Please join us for the launch of two zines from Try Try Zine Residency 2026: People in Paper City and Notes for Paper City by Kitman Yeung, and Blind Copy by Lau Sze Man. This year’s Try Try Zine residents have been nomadic and contemplative. Lau has been sketching and corresponding with Lee Kit and Ivy Ma. She inserts found materials from her studio, such as blotting paper and sticky paper flytraps, in her mail-sketchbook zine.
