Researchers from the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian have developed a new, practical approach to help NHS Health Boards plan and implement innovation more effectively- in spite of increasing pressures on time, workforce and finances. The research, published in BMC Health Services Research, sets out a rapid, action‑oriented methodology that enables meaningful communication between clinicians, patients, researchers and other stakeholders without lengthy consultation processes.
AI's wild take on rewilding: missing some crucial info
A new study from the University of Aberdeen has revealed that artificial intelligence may be shaping the future of rewilding in ways that create an idealised version of what restored nature can look like. For the study, which is published in People & Nature by the British Ecological Society, researchers analysed AI‑generated images and descriptions of rewilding produced by chatbots and compared them with visual and textual materials used by UK rewilding advocacy organisations.

The University of Aberdeen is supporting this year's National Supported Internship Day, which highlights the importance of helping young people with a learning disability or autism to access meaningful employment. King’s College Chapel was illuminated in orange on Friday 27 March to mark the day. Supported Internships are structured, workâbased study programmes for young people aged 16 to 24 with Additional Support Needs (ASN).
