Starting this week in Asia Pacific countries, parents and guardians in Family Center will have visibility and controls on Threads, as they do across our other apps. Teen Accounts on Threads have automatic, built-in protections like private accounts and limits on the content teens see.

Because personal agents need a new kind of secure computer, Muse runs on Muse Secure VM, a dedicated, virtual machine (VM) that houses both the agent and a person’s data. Muse is designed around the way people already communicate, so talking to it works just like messaging another person, in the Muse app or directly in WhatsApp. It’s simple to use.

WhatsApp is already woven into daily life in India. Today, people use WhatsApp to recharge their phones, book metro tickets across cities, and access citizen services through government chatbots, all within a familiar chat interface. Today we are announcing Bill payments in India, making it easier for people to find, manage, and pay their everyday household and utility bills – all within the app.
