Our Agreement With US State Attorneys General Today, we are announcing an agreement with a bipartisan group of 52 attorneys general across US states, territories, and the District of Columbia, building on our longstanding efforts to empower parents and support teens. We designed AWA, Meta’s free training program, to bridge that gap. AWA provides four weeks of hands-on training and Meta covers travel and lodging expenses for participants.

Meta’s compliance with Australia’s Social Media Ban
Our enforcement to date As of 30 June 2026, we have removed access to more than 750,000 accounts on Facebook and Instagram in Australia that we assessed as belonging to people below the minimum age of 16. That figure includes over 500,000 Facebook and Instagram accounts we removed in the lead-up to the law taking effect, which we reported in January, and the accounts we have continued to remove in the months since. Enforcement is ongoing, and these numbers will continue to grow.
