My Time as an ATM Intern
The author, age 5, playing on the swings at ATMs office. I have years of memories from Albuquerque the Magazine. I remember bumbling around as a young child– watching television in empty offices, , running through carpeted halls, drawing pictures at my mother’s desk. Now, I have a desk of my own. I cannot express what a pleasure it has been to view Albuquerque the Magazine through growing eyes and to become a part of its world.
My Time as an ATM Intern
Fast-paced, exciting, and so much fun are the best words I could find to describe my internship experience at Albuquerque The Magazine. Walking into the office on my first day, it was safe to say I was both nervous and excited. I had pictured a very serious, quiet office building where most of the only noise you would hear is the tapping of a keyboard. Instead, I was welcomed to an office full of creativity, energy, and a genuine love of what everyone in the office were all doing.

All these years later, his message is still my excuse to never pass up sweets after a meal. Which is why I’m excited for this issue of ATM, as we’re featuring a round-up of sugary dishes from around the city that go perfectly after lunch or dinner. Some of our selections are classics, like the Key Lime Pie at Vintage 423, where ingredients are sourced carefully and the recipe is executed to the highest degree.
The Case for Magazines in 2024
We live in a digital world. There’s nothing new or novel about that statement. All the media that we could possibly want to consume is available somewhere online. CDs have given way to Spotify. DVDs and VHS tapes have been replaced by streaming services. Cork boards are now Pinterest boards, and pinning up ticket stubs and boarding passes are a thing of the past. The artifacts of our life exist almost entirely in the cloud. I am 18 years old.
