Tom Papa 2023 Comedy Tour Join stand-up comedian Tom Papa on Friday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. when he comes to Scranton Cultural Center at The Masonic Temple, 420 N. ‘Lextoberfest’ An annual event to benefit brain cancer research returns. “Lextoberfest” is set for Saturday, Oct. 15, from 3 to 7p.m. at Twentieth Ward Social Club, 2028 Pittston Ave., Scranton. The event was started in honor of Alexis “Lexi” Caviston-Ashmar, who died in 2020 of glioblastoma, to help raise money to fund research on the aggressive brain cancer. It features a pulled pork dinner available for dine-in or to take-out.
