’80s Decade Party This totally awesome ’80s Decade Party will feature popular songs of the time period performed by Leighann and Company. The event takes place from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, at  Mount Airy Casino Resort, 312 Woodland Road, Mount Pocono. Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed in neon colors and legwarmers with crimped hair, mullets and other looks that showcase the hottest styles at the time.

‘The Ultimate Elvis Experience starring Shawn Klush’ Scranton Cultural Center and JZTours presents “The Ultimate Elvis Experience starring Shawn Klush” on Friday, April 14, at Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple, 420 N. Magic City Productions presents Killer Queen, a tribute to the legendary rock band, on Wednesday, March 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple, 420 N. Washington Ave. Watch Patrick Myers take on the persona of Freddie Mercury, who will take audience members back in time as the band recreates Queen’s iconic hits from the ‘70s and ‘80s. Tom Papa 2023 Comedy Tour Join stand-up comedian Tom Papa on Friday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. when he comes to Scranton Cultural Center at The Masonic Temple, 420 N. Chelsea Handler’s ‘Vaccinated and Horny Tour’ Bring on the laughs. Comedian Chelsea Handler performs during her “Vaccinated and Horny Tour” on Sunday, Dec. 4, in Wilkes-Barre. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, 71 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre. Handler is known for her time as host of “Chelsea Lately” on the E!; “Chelsea Handler: Evolution” on HBO Max, “Chelsea” on Netflix; and also has written several best-selling books.

Black Scranton Boogie Oogie Black Scranton Project presents “Black Scranton Boogie Oogie” on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Black Scranton Center for Art & Culture, 1902 N. Main Ave. A hip-hop showcase presented by Nowadaze and friends, the event begins at 6 p.m. and features performances by CHZYBOP, Silo Good, Sam Graduated, DJ Frequency.City and more. Costumes are strongly encouraged and there will be a chance to win a cash prize for the best costume.

‘Lextoberfest’ An annual event to benefit brain cancer research returns. “Lextoberfest” is set for Saturday, Oct. 15, from 3 to 7p.m. at Twentieth Ward Social Club, 2028 Pittston Ave., Scranton. The event was started in honor of Alexis “Lexi” Caviston-Ashmar, who died in 2020 of glioblastoma, to help raise money to fund research on the aggressive brain cancer. It features a pulled pork dinner available for dine-in or to take-out.

Bret Michaels ‘Good Vibe’ tour Bret Michaels brings his “Nothin’ But a Good Vibe” tour to Mohegan Sun Pocono Outdoor Concert Venue, 1280 Route 315, Plains Twp. on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. The Poison frontman has been playing for decades, and is known for hits such as “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn,” “Nothin’ But A Good Time” and more. Hop aboard the Wine Tasting Express on Saturday, Sept, 17, at 812 Main St., Honesdale. This scenic ride on the Stourbridge Line departs at 3 p.m. from the station and takes attendees along the Lackawaxen River, where they will arrive to taste locally produced wines and other crafted goods.
