Naples Airport (KAPF) has adopted a new automated system that broadcasts real-time weather data and airfield information to arriving and departing pilots. The innovative Frequentis smartATIS system automatically generates an audio broadcast featuring real-time weather data from the Airport Surface Observing System (ASOS). Air traffic controllers at Naples Airport input operational updates, including runway configurations, taxiway closures, construction activity and recent wildlife advisories.
