Adafruit Monster Eyes
The animated eyeballs on the MONSTER M4SK and Hallowing boards are an Adafruit spooky season staple. But, new boards and displays have come into vogue and it was time to revisit this code base. The amazing ground work had been laid by Phil B., so it was just a matter of reorganizing and porting the math. The new version is called Adafruit Monster Eyes, and it lives in its own repository on GitHub.

CircuitPython Watchdog Module
The CircuitPython watchdog module implements a watchdog timer that can be used to detect and recover from locked or stalled processes running on the microcontroller. The watchdog is configured for a specified timeout period and is activated. Then, the code must feed the dog at least once within every timeout interval. Letting the timeout elapse without feeding the dog will cause it to bite. When the watchdog bites, it will typically reset the device back into a clean state.
Adafruit TMF8806 Time of Flight Distance Sensor - 10mm to 5m - STEMMA QT / Qwiic
The Adafruit TMF8806 Time of Flight Sensor is a great Time of Flight distance sensor from ams Osram in the TMF series of chips. The TMF8806 in particular can do 20mm to 5 meters at up to 30 Hz update rate, and a dedicated low-power 200mm mode. It also has a wider field-of-view The sensor contains a very tiny invisible laser source and a matching sensor. The TMF8806 can detect the "time of flight", or how long the light has taken to bounce back to the sensor.
