On admission, the X-ray showed a left basilic neonatal peripherally inserted central catheter (n-PICC) lying in a suboptimal place in the axillary vein. After stabilisation, a new n-PICC was inserted.

Long-term association between the COVID-19 pandemic and language development in children aged 18 months: effect modification by sex, childcare location and family size
Discussion This study compared language development in children aged 18 months between the pre-COVID-19 pandemic period (2017–2019) and the pandemic period (2020–2024) in Japan, where prolonged strict control measures were implemented. We found that the pandemic was associated with long-term negative trends in language development in children, with stronger associations observed during the late pandemic (ie, in those born after October 2020).
