AFRY has appointed Stefan Cartling as Head of Data Centers to bring together the expertise clients need to address these interconnected challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

As part of AFRY’s expanded presence, Tabea Martins has been appointed Head of Segment Life Science Germany. She brings more than 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, spanning complex capital projects, engineering and project delivery, client development and leadership. She will be joined by Helmut Steudel, who will support business development and sales activities across Europe, with an initial focus on Germany and the wider Austrian and Swiss market.

AFRY has been commissioned by the Stockholm Traffic Office to carry out the detailed design of major renovation works on the Liljeholmen Bridges. The project is an important step in ensuring the long-term functionality of the bridges for public transport, pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and maritime traffic. The Liljeholmen Bridges form a vital connection between the districts Södermalm and Liljeholmen in Stockholm.

A key project for fossil-free fuels AFRY has been awarded by Uniper to deliver a FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) for NorthStarH2, a planned e-methanol production facility in Östersund, Sweden. The FEED work takes NorthStarH2 project from early project development towards a Final Investment Decision. NorthStarH2 is one of Sweden's most promising Power-to-X/e-methanol projects. Once built, the facility is designed to produce around 115,000 tonnes of e-methanol per year.

AFRY has been selected as the International Technical Advisor (ITA) for the 1.5 GW Thai Binh LNG-to-Power project in Hung Yen, Vietnam. The scope includes technical advisory services for the project's offshore and onshore infrastructure and broader support throughout the project's development. As Vietnam’s electricity demand grows, the assignment supports the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, strengthening the country’s power generation capacity.

AFRY has been selected by Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (HPPCL) to provide detailed design, project management and construction supervision services for the 191 MW Thana Plaun Hydropower Project in Himachal Pradesh, India. The project will support the expansion of renewable energy generation and contribute to India's long-term energy transition.

AFRY has been commissioned by ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG to provide services for the modernization of the Franz-Josefs-Bahn in Austria. The project forms part of a broader investment program to upgrade rail infrastructure between Vienna and Gmünd, aiming to improve capacity, reliability, and overall service quality. The Franz-Josefs-Bahn is an important regional rail corridor connecting Vienna with northern Austria and the Czech border.

The solar plant is located on a 76-hectare site in Barangay Linglingay, Gamu, Isabela. The project will connect directly to the Luzon Grid through NGCP’s Gamu 69 kV switchyard via a 1.2 km double-circuit transmission line. Once operational, the 70 MWac facility will support the Philippines’ national renewable energy targets while enhancing grid reliability in Northern Luzon, one of the country’s fastest-growing energy demand regions.
