Christopher Nolan is back, retelling one of the oldest surviving stories in history, but this time on the big screen. Fresh off the success of Oppenheimer, director Christopher Nolan’s take on the Homeric epic has finally arrived in theaters, and it’s worth seeing the film on the biggest screen possible. The Odyssey began as an oral tradition that was later written down in ancient Greece, traditionally attributed to Homer (though the story of who Homer might’ve been is an Odyssey in itself).

After introducing Solsein Academy in the season premiere, Clevatess Season 2 Episode 2 jumps straight into the classroom. The episode spends much of its time familiarizing viewers with academy life while introducing more of the teachers and students. Every interaction serves a larger purpose as the academy begins revealing what makes it so important. Above all else, this episode places magic at the center of the experience.

When it comes to live-action adaptations from Disney, the hope is that it’s better than the original or provides new context that makes the story worth retelling. From their biggest box-office hits like The Lion King to bombs like Snow White, Disney showcases that more often than not, a bit of Disney magic can still get audiences back into theatres, like seeing Dwayne Johnson rock an interesting wig.

The live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 arrives on Netflix with another strong adaptation of the beloved animated series. The new season wastes little time throwing viewers back into the action following the events of Season 1. Grander locations, larger stakes, and new characters help expand the world’s scope in significant ways.

James Gunn’s DC Universe began its theatrical run a year ago, with Superman‘s premiere last July. The next entry in the DCU fleshes out the Super family with Supergirl. Within seconds of her appearance in Superman’s conclusion, it was obvious this version of the character would be much different from previous on-screen iterations. The film is an adaptation of the graphic novel Woman of Tomorrow by writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely.

In 1995, Toy Story set the standard for meaningful, emotional, and humorous animated storytelling, en route to becoming one of the top animated movie franchises of all time. More than three decades later, Pixar continues to evolve that storytelling while still staying true to the heart and charm that made audiences of all ages fall in love with these toys. This remains true with Toy Story 5, as the studio once again has another classic on its hands.

After a stellar first season, Clevatess returns with a surprising new direction. Rather than continuing solely as a traditional hero fantasy, the new season shifts toward a school-based magical adventure at Solsein Academy. It’s a bold change that could have easily lost what made the series special. Instead, Clevatess Season 2 Episode 1 embraces its new setting while preserving the heart of the story fans have grown to love.

My Adventures With Superman Season 3 is back as the wholesome, anime-inspired series returns on Adult Swim. While this story started as a small-scale narrative following the adventures of Clark Kent/Superman (Jack Quaid), Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid), and Lois Lane (Alice Lee) mainly at the Daily Planet, the newest installment kicks things up a notch as the heroes venture into alternate universes and futures, with new allies, cyborgs, and so much more.
