Honeywell has signed a supplier framework agreement with the U.S. Department of War to expand production of critical defence technologies, backed by a $500 million multi-year investment in manufacturing capacity. The agreement positions Honeywell Aerospace among the first Tier 1 suppliers operating under this framework, supporting faster delivery of defence systems at greater scale. “Honeywell Aerospace is proud to embrace the challenge and meet this urgent need.

The Delta Air Lines Foundation has made a $5 million commitment to advance the construction of Georgia Tech’s new Aerospace Engineering Building. The ambitious capital project will elevate one of the nation’s top-ranked aerospace programs, fuel the state’s economy, and accelerate innovation across the aviation industry.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), its subsidiary BlueBird Aero Systems, and U.S. partner AEVEX Aerospace jointly debuted the OmniRaider VTOL Unmanned Aircraft System at AUSA 2025. The OmniRaider is the U.S. version of the ThunderB-Next Generation (NG) VTOL platform and is fully manufactured and fielded by AEVEX in Tampa, Florida. The OmniRaider represents the latest step in the ThunderB-VTOL family’s evolution as a Group 3 system.

Piasecki Aircraft Corporation has introduced KARGO II, a larger-capacity version of its KARGO UAV medium-lift unmanned aerial vehicle, which it acquired from Kaman Air Vehicles in April 2025. The new model features significant payload, drivetrain and performance upgrades to support a range of military and commercial missions.

Redwire Corporation’s subsidiary Edge Autonomy has been awarded a prototype phase agreement by the U.S. Army to develop and deliver its Stalker uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) for the Long Range Reconnaissance (LRR) programme. Under the contract, Edge Autonomy will provide Stalker UAS with advanced sensors, secure communications, autonomous mobility features and modular payload configurations tailored to mission-specific needs.

Embraer has signed a series of Memorandums of Understanding with Lithuanian organisations to establish long-term cooperation in aerospace, defence and innovation. Partners include Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Aktyvus Photonics, J&C Aero, Nordic Aircraft Systems, Brolis Defence, DAT and the Baltic Institute of Advanced Technology.

Zepher Flight Labs (ZFL), part of Heven’s U.S. operations, has opened its new facility in downtown Bingen with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community leaders, state officials and industry partners. The site at 317 W. Steuben Street will be a regional hub for advanced drone design, production and integration, supporting hydrogen-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) development.

DDC-I has introduced Klepsydra’s artificial intelligence and edge processing engine for its Deos DO-178C DAL-A real-time operating system. The combination offers a compact, modular safety-critical platform for sensor fusion, situational awareness and other AI functions for both manned and autonomous vehicles in air, ground and water environments. “Deos and Klepsydra make certified AI at the edge not just a possibility, but a reality,” says Bob Morris, president/CEO at DDC-I.

Lockheed Martin has expanded its industrial collaboration package for the Philippines in line with its F-16 Block 70 solution for the country’s Multi Role Fighter programme. The updated offer includes a strategic partnership with Southern Methodist University (SMU) to drive digital innovation, intellectual property creation and workforce development with Philippine universities and industry.

Northrop Grumman has confirmed the first six partners for its Beacon autonomy testbed ecosystem. Applied Intuition, Autonodyne, Merlin, Red 6, Shield AI and SoarTech, an Accelint company, will use Beacon to rapidly test and deliver autonomous solutions at scale. The partners will use the Scaled Composites-built Model 437 aircraft, along with Northrop Grumman’s flight autonomy hardware and integration expertise, during flight demonstrations set for this year.
