“K” LINE to support relief efforts following earthquake off the Coast of Mindanao
The earthquake that struck off the coast of Mindanao, the Philippines, on June 8 caused severe damage in a number of regions. Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) has decided to donate USD 20,000 through The Rayomar Outreach Foundation, Inc. (ROFI), a charitable organization established by the Rayomar Group, their business partner in the Philippines, to support relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.

US manufacturing output unchanged in June, but accelerates in second quarter
U.S. factory production was unchanged in June, but grew at a robust pace in the second quarter, driven by an artificial intelligence build-up and businesses accumulating inventory in anticipation of shortages and higher prices due to the war in the Middle East. The flat reading in manufacturing output last month reported by the Federal Reserve on Friday followed an upwardly revised 0.1% gain in May.

BAA Training France certifies world’s first A320 FFS Airbus Standard 2.2.1
BAA Training France has become the first aviation training center worldwide to operate an Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS), certified to the new Airbus Standard 2.2.1 and declared ready for training (RFT). The simulator is owned by Transavia France, the Air France-KLM Group low-cost carrier, and is operated and maintained by BAA Training. It is now available for training to airlines and operators globally.

US retail sales rise marginally in June
U.S. retail sales increased marginally in June as lower gasoline prices weighed on receipts at service stations, though bargain-hunting consumers continued to support underlying spending. Retail sales rose 0.2% last month after an upwardly revised 1.0% jump in May, the Commerce Department's Census Bureau said on Thursday. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast retail sales, which are mostly goods and are not adjusted for inflation, gaining 0.2% after a previously reported 0.9% advance in May.
