Late market roundup: Stocks close mixed, US services growth slows
The FTSE 100 outperformed its European peers on Monday, while other indices closed lower, as economic and political concerns weighed on France's CAC 40. In London, the FTSE 100 index ended up 35.99 points, 0.3%, at 10,497.94. The FTSE 250 fell 70.49 points, 0.3%, to 24,123.75, and the AIM all-share declined 3.44 points, 0.4%, to 780.31. The Cboe UK 100 ended up 0.4% at 1,041.48, the Cboe UK 250 ended down 0.3% at 20,968.31, and the Cboe small companies fell 0.3% at 18,906.59.

The Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait BSC is reportedly negotiating to purchase a 20% stake in Panmure Liberum Ltd, Sky News reported on Monday. According to sources cited by Sky News, the deal would value the broker at around £70 million. The deal would deepen the relationship between the two institutions, which last year announced a partnership to combine Panmure's investment banking capabilities with BBK's Middle East client base.
