Intraoperative Optical Coherence Tomography Navigated the Scleral Buckling
A 17-year-old female presented with chronic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in the right eye. She underwent 25-gauge illumination-aided scleral buckling facilitated by intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT) and 3D microscope. Dual-modal iOCT enabled precise localization of a peripheral retinal break (A;see Supplementary Video 1). During suture placement, iOCT provided dreal-time visualization of needle trajectory and confirmed optimal intrascleral depth (B; see Video 1).
