Aker Solutions/News/All News/2026/Aker Solutions awarded contract for offshore wind project Aker Solutions has been awarded a substantial[1] contract for the delivery of an HVDC substructure for a European offshore wind project by an undisclosed customer. Aker Solutions’ scope includes engineering, procurement and construction. Aker Solutions will book the award as order intake in the second quarter of 2026 in the Renewables and Field Development segment.

The contract is part of a major capacity expansion project developed by Tussa Energi. The existing facility will be modernized after the new plant is commissioned, and kept in operation as additional capacity. “Hydropower is the backbone of the Norwegian power system and will remain important in the years ahead.
