All Classical Radio is thrilled to announce 17-year-old violinist Kaylee Nah as the station’s 2026-2027 Young Artist in Residence. A senior at Sunset High School in Beaverton, OR, she has studied violin and piano for 11 years.

Anthea Chronicles No. 6: My many obsessions, my latest obsession My life has been a series of obsessions. I spin out, devote myself to a new but related skill, and before I know it I’m in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan or learning how to make stained glass. I don’t know if other people are as obsessive as I am. I suspect that any semi-successful classical musician must be at least ridiculously obsessed, and I guess I’m on the deep end of that.

The Calm Before the Storm It’s coming up to the last few weeks of summer, and I’m doing all I can to get ready for a busy concert season beginning in the fall. The more I can prepare now, the smoother the coming season will be. My kitchen wall is a mess of printed-out monthly calendar pages haphazardly taped with blue painter’s tape between historic railroad maps of Oregon and an embroidery of my deceased guinea pig.
