ALMA, Mich. – Alma College Athletics is proud to announce the next head coach of the Scots men's and women's tennis programs with the hiring of Lucas Huffman as announced by Athletics Director Dr. Phil Miller. "Lucas is a wonderful addition to our athletics staff, He brings tremendous energy, a genuine passion for the sport of tennis, and the leadership qualities needed to guide our men's and women's tennis programs," said Miller.

ALMA, Mich. – Over the weekend, the Alma College STUNT team was recognized at the national level for their national championship quality season through individual awards from the College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA). The Scots were honored with the (Co) Player of the Year along with the Jumps and Tumbles Specialist and a handful of All-Americans on the first and second team for the Club division.

"What a special day for Alma College and our Athletics Department as we welcome David Foster back to campus," said Miller. "Throughout the search process, David consistently demonstrated the passion, leadership, and vision necessary to advance our men's lacrosse program.

ALMA, Mich. – After wrapping up his 13th season at the helm of the Cross Country/Track and Field programs, Matt Chovanec, a 1991 graduate of Alma College, will be stepping down from his head coach position. Chovanec was one of the longest tenured coaches on staff for Scots athletics as he has been with the program in a coaching capacity since the 2002 season, including serving as the head track and field coach form 2004-2006, before being named to his current position on July 25th, 2014.

Alma, MI – Alma College's Denny Griffin has been named to the 2026 Michigan Athletic Trainers Society Hall of Fame Class of 2026. He will be inducted on June 5, 2026 during the 2026 MATS Annual Clinical Symposium at the Kellog Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing, Michigan. Griffin, who just concluded his 38th season as Alma's Head Softball Coach, will enter year 44 at Alma College in the fall of 2026.

Alma, MI – Postseason accolades have rolled in for the Alma College Softball program, following a 25-13 season that saw the Scots finish 3rd in the MIAA. Alma's Morgan Westall was named to the NFCA All-Region team for the first time in her career, earning second team honors. Additionally, the Scots had three student-athletes selected to the All-MIAA second team, as announced by the league office on May 6. Alma's Jordyn Porter, Katelyn Thomas, and Westall received the honor.

ADRIAN, Mich. – On a sunny Friday afternoon, the Alma College baseball team returned to Nicolay field for a chance at the programs first MIAA Tournament championship, taking the field against the host and top-seeded Adrian College Bulldogs. The Scots, riding high with momentum following two wins the day prior, including a walk-off win to send them to the championship, looked to use the momentum to propel them to an "If" game with the undefeated Bulldogs in tournament play.

May. 08 (Fri) / 12:00 PM History ADRIAN, Mich. – Returning to the turf early on Thursday morning, facing an elimination game in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament, presented by Collegiate Credit Union, against the Albion College Britons, the Alma College baseball team looked to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Angola, IN – Alma College Softball was in action on Thursday afternoon, taking on Hope College in the elimination bracket semifinal of the MIAA Softball Tournament, presented by Collegiate Credit Union. The Scots were defeated 10-2 in six innings. It took the Flying Dutch three innings to get on the board, but the opposition did score first on an RBI single to take the lead. Hope doubled the lead in the inning on another single to make it 2-0.

May. 07 (Thu) / 10:00 AM History ADRIAN, Mich. – Filling in the prime time slot of the first day of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Baseball Tournament, presented by Collegiate Credit Union, the two-seeded Ama College baseball team faced off against the three seeded Kalamazoo College Hornets.
