Baltimore hardcore heroes Turnstile have been riding a wave of momentum all summer following the release of ‘Never Enough’. As they prepare to kick off a US tour before a brief UK return later in the year, they stopped by NPR to perform a 5-track Tiny Desk Concert’. Joined by Tobias Moody (saxophone), Theljon Allen (trumpet), Troy Long (piano), the quintet performed stripped-back versions of tracks such as ‘Dreaming,’ ‘I Care’, and ‘Never Enough’.

Next month, Militarie Gun will follow up their superb 2023 album, ‘Life Under The Gun,’ with ‘God Save The Gun’. Today, the quintet have shared the album’s second single, ‘Throw Me Away’. The melodically strong number sees frontman Ian Shelton in the valleys of self-doubt. “‘Throw Me Away’ is about the feeling of only being valued when you’re visible or useful and the desperate need to hold onto that,” shares Militarie Gun‘s vocalist.

Earlier this summer, Love Is Noise returned with two new songs and a new line-up. Today, they look. to keep the momentum going with another new track, ‘Everyone Bleeds’. It sees the UK shoegaze metallers deliver a biting number that highlights Love Is Noise‘s raw and introspective lyricism, mixing it with a crushing heaviness and experimental soundscapes. “’Everyone Bleeds’ is Love Is Noise at our most vulnerable,” shares vocalist Cam Humphrey.

Last month, AFI revealed plans to release their twelfth studio album, ‘Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…’ on October 3rd through Run For Cover Records. Today, the quartet shared its second single, ‘Holy Visions’. The track firmly leans into the reverb-laden guitar lines and 80s-inflected hook-filled choruses that the record promises to deliver in abundance.

With the Autumn evenings drawing in, it’s expected that several festival announcements will be popping up in the coming weeks and months. Today, Portsmouth’s Takedown Festival has announced its two headliners. Taking place at the Guildhall on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April 2026, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons will close out the opening night with a special Motörhead set. The following night will see the much-talked-about PRESIDENT headline their first festival.

East London-based quintet IAN will release their debut album next month. The up-and-coming post-metal group have called the album, ‘Come On Everybody, Let’s Do Nothing!’ It will be released on the independent label Human Worth on October 17th. IAN describe themselves as “a band that appreciates the peaks and troughs of post-rock as much as the crunch of the riff,” and from hearing ‘Come On Everybody…’s first single, ‘Fennel’, it’s a blueprint they stick to.

With the release of their debut EP, ‘King of Terrors,’ fast approaching, PRESIDENT have revealed their latest single, ‘Destroy Me.’ The track is considerably their heaviest song released so far. Although its opening verse is founded on a trip-hop beat, ‘Destroy Me’ soars with its powerful and dense chorus. It reaches its peak with a hulking, monstrous breakdown, elevating ‘Destroy Me’s emotional core. It is the fourth single following ‘In The Name of the Father,’ ‘Fearless,‘ and ‘.

Kansas City native Matt Pryor (The Get Up Kids) has announced he will be releasing his seventh solo album this November. Titled ‘The Salton Sea,’ the record will be released on 14th November via Big Scary Monsters. As heard on the title track below, the album sees Pryor expand to a full band sound, complementing his familiar warm vocals. The track is described as a “yearning anthem,” and an entry point to what ‘The Salton Sea’ has to offer.
