This past Memorial Day, more than 1,000 teens swarmed the blocks around Lake Michigan in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. A resident described the scene: “Hundreds of people were walking and running down our street, jumping on top of cars, twerking, smoking blunts.” One group twerked on the top of a city bus. At about 9 pm, the Chicago Police Department closed Lake Shore Drive. As sirens wailed, the Hyde Park resident armed himself with bear spray to retrieve something from his car.

Jashanpreet Singh, the 21-year-old illegal alien semi-truck driver who killed three people on a Southern California freeway last October was sentenced to under 5 years in prison on Tuesday. Singh previously pleaded guilty to three counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.

Many liberals are worried after it was revealed an elite New York City public high school only admitted three black students out of 777 for the upcoming school year. Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan – considered by many to be one of the best in the Big Apple – has seen black admissions drop in recent years, as only ten black students were admitted in 2024 and eight in 2025.

{snip} The white British share of the population in England and Wales has declined from 87.5% in 2001 to 80.5% in 2011 and 74.4% in 2021. That figure will have declined further since the 2021 census, particularly given the unprecedented level of immigration between 2021 and 2024 (the ‘Boriswave’). We won’t get the full picture until the next census in 2031, and what we see then will depend on how many of the Boriswave end up settling.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been instructed to immediately suspend most vehicle stops during enforcement operations nationwide, except in cases involving serious criminal targets, following fatal shootings in Texas and Maine over the last week, multiple law enforcement sources told CBS News Tuesday morning.

Three months after giving birth to her son, Amaya Jones moved into a new apartment complex. She knew no one else in the building, but it was a fresh start for her and her two children. One day, someone put up a flyer on her unit’s door, notifying her about a program called the Magnolia Mother’s Trust (MMT). Launched in 2018, the MMT is the longest-running guaranteed income program in the country, and the first to target extremely low-income families headed by Black mothers in Jackson, Mississippi.

The book, which calls into question the virtue of prominent abolitionist sisters in the antebellum south, was called a “compelling” account of “slavery’s indelible stain on a white abolitionist legend.” Publisher’s Weekly even named it one of the ten best books of that year.

Several people came out to Monday night’s DeKalb County Board of Education meeting to discuss a proposed policy regarding immigration enforcement. Students, parents and community activists are hoping the board enacts the policy before the first day of school in August.
