Frederick, who also holds the title of Miss St John’s Rural West, will compete against nine delegates from across the Caribbean in the swimsuit, talent, evening wear and interview segments of the competition.

By Kisean Joseph Police Commissioner Everton Jeffers has expressed deep concern over a rise in gun-related crime across Antigua and Barbuda, describing daylight shootings as unacceptable. Commissioner Jeffers made the comments during a press briefing at Police Headquarters last week. His remarks followed two murders committed with firearms, along with other reported gun-related offences.

The 2026 Junior Carnival has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 29th, after adverse weather forced organisers to postpone Sunday’s highly anticipated children’s celebration. The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission announced the decision on Sunday after persistent rainfall and thunderstorm activity made conditions unsafe for the parade to proceed.

Speaking on Observer Radio, Daley explained how the condition, neuropathy, if left untreated, spreads down through the feet over time. “The diagnosis that we’re seeing showing up a lot in our clinics today is something we call neuropathy, which is a breakdown of the blood vessels in the foot.

The police have arrested three people and recovered an unlicensed firearm during a string of operations across the country over a two-day period. Officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Task Force, the Gang and Guns Suppression Unit (GAGSU), the K-9 as well as the Forensic Evidence Recovery Unit (FERU) carried out search warrants, mobile patrols, vehicle checkpoints and intelligence-led exercises in several communities.
