Pedralvas apartment is located in a residential building at a peripheral Lisbon´s neighbourhood. The renovation of the flat represented an enjoyable challenge. In fact, the apartment passed through a total change, including the social areas and the private spaces. In the social area the intervention involved the removal of the existing dividing wall between the living room and the kitchen, thus providing a single wider space.

EFFE-S Apartment | Archiplanstudio
EFFE-S Apartment, The one single space apartment is defined and modulated by a sliding wooden wall that can either separate or connect the bedroom with the living area. Here Porphyry and Fir are used as main materials for the realization of all the furnishing elements, including the washbasin of the bathrooms. Hence by developing its details, the project claims to belong to the alpine context in which the intervention is placed.

New Housing on Briesestraße, Made up of several constituent parts, this building mediates at the joint between the heterogeneous block perimeter development with its typical firewalls and the large, meandering late modern structures dating from the Sixties and Seventies. New Housing on Briesestraße increases the density of the site and unites the two different scales and typologies, the slab, and the courtyard, which dominate its surroundings.

DADA Distrikt Residential Complex, With real estate prices in the Czech Republic among the highest in Europe, the local market lacks affordable housing and therefore calls for alternative development solutions that would also be able to strengthen the quality of public spaces. DADA Distrikt provides a locally unique proposition to the problem: the previous storage facility has been adapted into a mixed-use and residential complex with a variety of shared and community spaces.

Haus 6 in Berlin for a cohousing group of ten parties marks a further step in the revitalisation of Werkhof L57, an ensemble of historic barracks buildings, modern extensions and new buildings, which has grown into a very lively creative quarter during the last two decades. The new four-storey development occupies a plot between a modern building in exposed concrete and a historic brick building.

Apartment for an Engineer, We divided the main space into two parts: the first one is an open plan kitchen and living room, the second one is a bedroom and workspace which had been arranged on a plywood podium along with the windows. Despite that, the apartment space all together is felt as a whole. All technical zones were arranged as densely as possible to allow more space for the living and working zones, where the owners spend most of their time.

Manchester Building, This 20th-century building is located in the Lisbon neighbourhood of Anjos. Manchester Building had been in a state of imminent ruin, although 3 of its 10 apartments were inhabited. The rehabilitation operation was structural and transversal – with the necessary reinforcements from a structural point of view, all kinds of new infrastructures, and systems to improve the energy performance and comfort of the apartments.
