Morgan Women in Leadership Award to Pamela Shinkoda, semi-retired building science engineer. The award is named in honor of Katharine Morgan, ASTM International’s first woman president, and recognizes women leaders of ASTM committees who have made significant contributions to the development of standards.

An ASTM International member since 1987, Thornton has been a prolific contributor to ASTM in his decades-long career. The award recognizes Thornton’s many years of significant contributions and exceptional service to the committee’s work. “I want to thank the members of ASTM committee C21 for this great honor,” says Thornton.
