“I was really impressed with him at Newbury on his belated return. Like Altior, he was another horse coming back from a layoff and I was taken with him. Looking at Colin Tizzard’s horse in the paddock, he looked fit. Overall, he’s just a likeable type. He has a great attitude, he’s a galloper and if we get a soft ground Friday at Cheltenham, he’d be a major player in the Gold Cup. He showed last year when he wasn’t beaten far on quick ground that he can mix it with the best of them.
