I’m Producer Ben, Content Director at Audio Always. I can’t believe it has already been a year since The Girls Bathroom joined the Audio Always Originals network and moved into a brand new (very pink) studio in Farringdon. A new room, new look and new artwork to go alongside our new production duties. To celebrate the podcast joining us, we built a visual identity that could grow alongside Sophia and Cinzia themselves, and brought video, shorts and audio together into one coherent weekly release.
My Role at Audio Always
Today with tonies has just hit a thousand episodes and Audio Always has been working on the show for the past year. Hundreds of listeners, with the help of their adults, sent in voice notes to mark it: messages about what the show means to them, impressions of the big bubbling buckets, and even Happy Birthday played on what sounded like every instrument a four to seven year old can get their hands on. A thousand episodes of a daily show is a massive milestone.
New Series of Evie Asks
Evie’s back with fifteen new episodes, and for the first time, she’s got a YouTube channel to go with them. Evie Asks returns this week for a brand new series, running over the coming months and covering the questions little ones actually ask: big feelings, bedtime and morning routines, and yes, even the weather (you’re never too young to learn how to talk about the weather).
Classical Producer Wanted!
As BBC Radio 3 continues to grow its presence in Salford, we are looking for a classical music Producer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term staff contract. This role is aimed at someone with deep knowledge of classical music who is at an early stage in their audio production career and looking to develop their skills producing programmes for national broadcast.

Celebrating Two Hundred Episodes of Radio 2 Unwinds
Two hundred episodes. For a show that started as “a four part special” over the summer months,” that number is something to celebrate. Unwinds has been part of Sunday nights on BBC Radio 2 for several years now, and Audio Always has been proud to produce the show for the past two of them, around one hundred of those two hundred episodes. The music, the pacing, the warmth Angela brings to every Sunday night: the care that goes into each show is a special ritual for the whole team at Audio Always.
Behind The Scenes: Marc Rigg
My Role at Audio Always As a Lead Producer at Audio Always, my focus is simple. To make every show as engaging and as good as it can possibly be. One of my most recent projects was producing Holland & Barrett’s Back Your Body, a branded podcast hosted by Ellie Taylor. From Brief to Broadcast Working on Back Your Body gave me a real sense of what producing a branded podcast looks like from the inside.
