Search ArticlesMeeting to consider housing development at Little Heath
Audlem Parish Council (APC) held a meeting at the Methodist Church on the evening of Tuesday 28th July 2026 to consult with parishioners regarding the planning application by a company called Gladman for a housing development at Little Heath (the fields adjacent to the existing Anwyl estate). The APC chair Cllr Dovey welcomed everyone to the meeting which was convened for the APC to receive the thoughts of the parish to assist the APC to formulate their response to the application.

We are still also taking any donations for Bric a Brac and Tombola stalls and we can arrange collection. AudlemOnline - Community Gym Refit
Gym Equipment upgrade The first major upgrade of the equipment in the Community Gym since it weas opened in 2017 will take place on Thursday August 6th. The Gym will be therefore be closed all day on Thursday 6th and then on Friday 7th August the Gym will reopen at 9.00 a.m. A Master Trainer will be present until 3.00 p.m. to guide gym members through the new equipment and how to use it.
Gemma Rose and the 13-05s
Thursday August 6th at the Shroppy Fly Audlem's very own Gemma Rose and the 1305s are back playing live at the Shroppie Fly this Thursday. Two sets of the very finest songs, including hits from the Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, Joan Armatrading and Kate Bush. The fun starts at 8pm!

Wednesday August 5th The next Wednesday Wanderers Walk is on the 5th August, and will be led by Peter Jackson. Meeting time is 2.00 p.m. in the Town Hall Car Park. We will leave the Car Park and head for Turnpike Field, and from there we will cross Green Lane and cut between the houses of Copthorne to the Whitchurch Road.

Festival of Transport from above
These images of the vehicles assembling on Hankelow Green in preparation for the parade into Audlem have kindly been provided by John Durrant who runs the Hankelow website (see here). The pictures came originally from Darren Howe of "Our House" on the green at Hankelow. They perhaps give some idea of the scale of the organisation that goes into the Festival from ASET each year.

David Pudney writes:- "I got chatting to a bloke called Nick at the Nantwich show who was interested in becoming a Volunteer Lock keeper in Audlem. "He gave me his phone number but it is missing one digit. I would very much like to get in contact with him. "He is called Nick, he does own a canal boat, and he said he lived on the McKelvey estate and the last 3 digits of his phone number were 325.
