Jamshedpur: Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College Hospital’s efforts to address its shortage of doctors have received a major setback after its latest recruitment drive for Junior Resident (non-academic) doctors attracted a poor response. Despite advertising 54 vacancies, the hospital was able to appoint only eight doctors, leaving 46 posts vacant and raising fresh concerns over the availability of medical professionals at one of Jharkhand’s busiest government hospitals.

Mail News Service Jamshedpur, July 16: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe into the sensational Rs 2-crore “digital arrest” cyber fraud involving a retired executive engineer from Jalandhar, arresting a suspect from Jamshedpur for allegedly facilitating the crime by providing a bank account to the fraud syndicate. Acting on specific inputs, a CBI team raided Naidu Colony in Kitadih under Parsudih police station area and arrested P. Sharad Rao.

Jamshedpur, July 16: A Gita Shloka Recitation Competition was organised at Gulmohur High School for students of Classes VI to VIII to promote Indian culture, moral values and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita among young learners. Selected shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita were recited by the participants with clarity, rhythm and devotion. Their meanings were also explained in a simple and effective manner.
