The City of Searcy will celebrate the grand opening of its new Dog Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Carmichael Community Center. The park was designed to provide a dedicated space where dogs and their owners can gather, exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Planning & Development Director Richard Stafford designed the project in coordination with Davidson Engineering.
Kai Cenat Brings 'Streamer University' Bootcamp to Arkansas
Famous content creator Kai Cenat is at Hendrix College in Conway this week, hosting his real-life bootcamp, Streamer University. Cenat, the most-followed streamer on Twitch (as of the publication date), founded the University in 2025 to help aspiring streamers learn the ins and outs of the industry. His first session took place at the University of Akron in Ohio, with more than 200 creators taking classes.

The Gardens Expands Mental Health Support Across Arkansas
For many Arkansas adults living with serious mental illness, finding long-term support that goes beyond medical treatment can be challenging. The Gardens, a Community Support System Provider (CSSP), is working to change that by creating therapeutic communities designed to help individuals build meaningful, independent lives. "Everyone I know has somebody in their life who has struggled with some kind of mental health crisis," says Georgia Johnston, president and co-founder of The Gardens.
Zach Top Brings 'Cold Beer & Country Music' to Arkansas
Known for his electric live performances, Zach Top will bring his Cold Beer & Country Music Fall Tour '26 to the Walmart AMP in Rogers on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. Lukas Nelson will join him as the special guest. Fresh off a landmark year, Zach Top won Best Traditional Country Album at the 68th Grammy Awards for "Ain't In It For My Health," the first recipient of the new category.
NLR's North Bar Closes Its Doors
North Bar in North Little Rock has closed. Former employee Bryan Lowe posted to a private Facebook group that staff were informed during a preshift meeting Tuesday. Since then, many others have posted about the closure on social media, lamenting the high cost of goods, the challenges impacting the restaurant business and the fact that the restaurant's renowned burgers will no longer be available in the Park Hill neighborhood.

Spicy Poblano Mexican Grill will host its grand opening from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Park Plaza in Little Rock. The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m., a live mariachi band and food specials throughout the afternoon. Guests who arrive early can also take advantage of a special giveaway, as the first 100 customers will receive a free taco.
