Arizona Commission on the Arts

Posted July 7th, 2026 The Arizona Commission on the Arts invites young creatives to apply to serve on the 2026-27 AZ Youth Arts Council. The Arizona Commission on the Arts is an agency of the State of Arizona with a mission to strengthen arts and culture by investing in artists, organizations, and creative workforce development to enrich communities and quality of life for all Arizonans. You’re a creative, passionate, community-minded Arizonan, age 14-19.

The $18.3 billion bipartisan budget passed by the state legislature and signed earlier this month by Governor Katie Hobbs repeats an annual investment of $2 million in arts and culture. This one-time appropriation from the State’s General Fund will fund statewide grantmaking in support of nonprofit arts organizations, community arts festivals, and arts learning programs.
