Chudleigh's Ltd., a Milton, Ont. food processing company, has been fined $50,000 after a worker was critically injured while clearing a blockage in a sugar silo on Jan. 23, 2024. The Ministry of Labour reported that the company failed to inform the worker about workplace hazards, violating the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The incident occurred at Chudleigh's facility located at 8501 Chudleigh Way. The Ontario Court of Justice imposed the fine on May 29, 2026, following a guilty plea.
