Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: We have a 15-game slate on tap, starting with the Twins and Tigers at 1:10pm ET. Minor rain concerns linger throughout the country, but we should avoid rainouts. With some aces throwing today, but also some suspect arms, there are at least four games with projected totals of nine runs or more. Notable Starts: Logan Henderson is coming off seven strong innings in Wrigley Field where he allowed two runs with no walks and seven strikeouts.
Hurt file, September 9-14
NOTE: This column focuses on injury analysis, so we don't cover the progress of every injured player. We try to highlight the key fantasy contributors, unusual injuries, or situations where the official projected return is variable or not given. Players whose progress is proceeding as expected are very well covered by fantasy news sources; we'll tend to leave those players alone unless we have something we want to add to the news coverage.

Yostin Pena and Wilberson De Pena
For the final four articles of the 2026 season, I am reaching a bit, covering prospects who ended the season in Low-A or at the complexes. In other words, I’m covering the most volatile prospects in baseball, kids who have a variety of different outcomes possible. On Saturday, I covered a pair of Reds prospects, Steele Hall (SS, CIN) and Aaron Watson (RHP, CIN). Today, we’re headed to the Florida State League to evaluate Yostin Pena (OF, NYY) and Wilberson De Pena (OF, NYY).
AL East: Is Gasper forcing Boston's hand?
Boston Red Sox As was noted in this space last week, Mickey Gasper fell victim to the numbers crunch despite his torrid stretch when he was demoted on August 31; however, he made a quick return, being called up a day later for first base duties when Willson Contreras landed on the IL. Gasper’s torrid stretch has continued since he returned, as he added three more homers to his season ledger.

AMERICAN LEAGUE New York Yankees NEWS: The Yankees have activated OF Aaron Judge (stress fracture in right rib) from the 60-day injured list in advance of the team’s September 8 game. IMPACT: High BHQ SPIN: Judge will end up having lost just over three months to his injury.

Rave stretches for more PT in KC
AMERICAN LEAGUE Kansas City Royals NEWS: OF/1B Jac Caglianone was diagnosed with a grade 1 flexor strain. IMPACT: Medium BHQ SPIN: After Caglianone left Saturday’s game with elbow soreness, testing on Sunday revealed a low-grade strain. For now, he will avoid an IL stint. Caglianone will reportedly be shut down from throwing until he is reevaluated on Tuesday or Wednesday. If all checks out from there, he would then ramp up baseball activities before prepping for a potential return.
