The Wednesday during the All-Star break means one thing at BaseballHQ: prospect list time. We call our list HQ50. Our process is much like our preseason HQ100 list. Our Minors Team individually researched players, talked with sources, determined eligibility, and compiled their own list, 55 prospects strong, before combining the results into one list. Participating Minors Team contributors were Chris Blessing, Rob Gordon, Nick Richards, Jesse Severe, Mark Sherrod, and Matthew St-Germain.
September slowdown speculations, 2026
The All-Star break is the perfect time to evaluate your teams. Where can I gain/lose points? How do I look in those pesky wins, saves, and steals categories? Do I have a realistic shot at winning the league, and (if you're in a keeper league) am I a buyer or seller at my league's deadline? Another question that doesn't get talked about enough… are my pitchers going to last until September?
Turner, L. Webb, Stowers, Elder, Crews

Jordan Romano picked up four saves earlier in the season, but was eventually removed from the role and released. The Angels have seven other saves this season (yes, only 11 total saves) and those seven saves are split up between four relievers: Kirby Yates, Sam Bachman, Ryan Zeferjahn, and Samy Natera.
Hurt file, July 15-20
NOTE: This column focuses on injury analysis, so we don't cover the progress of every injured player. We try to highlight the key fantasy contributors, unusual injuries, or situations where the official projected return is variable or not given. Players whose progress is proceeding as expected are very well covered by fantasy news sources; we'll tend to leave those players alone unless we have something we want to add to the news coverage.
Mayo's PT to spread given Alexander injury
AMERICAN LEAGUE Baltimore Orioles NEWS: 3B Blaze Alexander suffered a fractured hand and is expected to be placed on the 10-Day IL. IMPACT: Medium BHQ SPIN: Baltimore suffered a hit to its lineup in its final game before the All-Star break after Alexander was hit by a pitch and later diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture in his left hand. Before the injury, Alexander had emerged as a regular fixture in Baltimore's lineup, getting most of his playing time at third base.

Carroll sees SB0 decline ... The stolen base pace has slowed down for Corbin Carroll (OF, ARI) in 2026. How are his skills behind the slower SB?
AL East: Remember that guy?
Baltimore Orioles Heston Kjerstad’s 2026 season has been an uphill battle from the beginning. After being a long shot to make Baltimore’s Opening Day roster, he began the year on the IL due to a hamstring strain suffered in March. Once Kjerstad recovered from the injury, he began a minor league rehab assignment but was optioned to Triple-A upon its conclusion and has remained there since.
