This isn't a hardcore perfumery topic. It is Sunday for me, I'm relaxing and working on some evaluations, and it just struck me. There's been a bit of background drama on the forum this week, so I felt like posting something light and fun. What is (your idea of) the most beautiful material visually? I have always loved the look and feel of liquid ambery materials - glossy, sticky, and elegant (but a pain to work with ).

Basenotes Marketplace
This isn't a fun announcement to make, but I'm doing so for my own mental health and well-being. In short, the Marketplace won't be returning, and the splits board will shut at the end of September. Over the last few months we've seen two incidents where members have been scammed out of large amounts of money. Normally in these cases if you'd paid by PayPal you can claim your money back, unless you pay using their Friends & Family option.

Mixing Pots?
Hey everyone! I'm new to DIY fragrance-making. I mix a lot of very small batches of things, like bases and accords, which are often made of only around 30 drops, because I just spent a fortune on my first set of aroma chemicals, and right now I prefer to mix in small amounts to make what I have last as long as possible. The little plastic pots I have been using are from Perfumer's World, and they work great for my purposes. I just ran out of them the other day.
Looking for an independent perfumer for a cannabis inspired perfume concept development
Hi everyone, I'm interested to develop a perfume concept that treats cannabis the same serious way as oud is being treated in the industry. I'm looking for independent perfumer that can help me develop the concept (with synthetic representation of cannabis) and support the process up until producing a sample. Initially for development as hobbyist but I'm also interested in investing for commercial product if we manage to build something worth sharing to broader audience.
