The Florida Panthers are once again Stanley Cup champions. Sam Reinhart scored four times, leading the Panthers to a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the NHL’s Stanley Cup Final Tuesday in Sunrise, Fla. With the victory, the Panthers won the best-of-seven series in six games, one year after beating the Oilers in seven games in last year’s Cup Final. Keith Tkachuk had the other goal for the Panthers, who became the first team to repeat since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.

Nathan Rourke passed for 324 yards and three touchdowns, leading the host B.C. Lions to a 31-14 win over the Edmonton Elks in the 2025 CFL season opener for both teams Saturday at B.C. Place. Rourke finished 27-for-36 on the day, and added another 54 rushing yards. Receiver Stanley Berryhill had 105 yards receiving and two TDs for the Lions, while fellow receiver Justin McInnis added another major and running back James Butler rushed 10 times for 68 yards and a TD.
