A new review from Flinders University looked at 22 studies into toilet flushing and found that it can send tiny airborne particles, known as aerosols, into the surrounding air. And here’s the gross part. Some of these particles can reach around adult breathing height.
Ambulance ramping concerns at University Hospital
The Victorian Ambulance Union says more needs to be done to help the emergency departments of regional hospitals it comes after 11 ambulances were ramped at the University Hospital in Geelong on Wednesday. The union says staff are working their hardest but the lack of beds in hospitals is causing issues. Inmate injured in Barwon incident
An inmate is recovering after being taken to hospital following an incident at Lara’s Barwon Prison. Ambulance Victoria says it responded to an incident around 3pm Tuesday. Fatal crash in Parwan
A child has died and another is critically injured, following a single vehicle roll-over north of Werribee. Emergency services were called to near Parwan just before 4pm. Software glitch blamed for duplicate fines
The City of Greater Geelong says it will not be enforcing a series of parking fines due to a software issue. Executive Director of City Life Anthony Basford said the council recently reviewed its infringement system, identifying an issue that saw duplicate infringement numbers being assigned. “While the infringements were correctly issued, the duplication of infringement numbers means we will not enforce them,” he said.
