BBC Writersroom - Pilot
Pilot 2024 Details, Eligibility Requirements and FAQs Applications to Pilot 2024 are open from Tuesday 5th September 2023 at 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday 26th September 2023 for credited and/or agented writers. ELIGIBILITY Writers must have at least ONE professionally produced piece of narrative scriptwriting work, a minimum of 30 minutes in length, in television, radio, theatre or film. Novels are ineligible and will not be accepted.

The Alfred Bradley Bursary Award 2023
The Alfred Bradley Bursary Award is an opportunity for writers based in the North of England who are new to writing for audio. It offers a £5,000 bursary to the winner as well as the chance of a Radio 4 Drama commission. The Award was established in 1992 to commemorate the life and work of Alfred Bradley, the distinguished BBC Radio Drama Producer and is run by Audio Drama North in conjunction with the BBC Writersroom.

The BBC Comedy Collective Bursary
The BBC Comedy Collective is a supercharged bursary scheme offering 10 places to up-and-coming writers, producers and directors who’d like to develop their careers in scripted comedy. Applications will open on Monday 9 January 2023 at noon and close on Monday 30 January 2023 at 5pm. The scheme is open to anyone who has had at least one previous credit in writing, producing or directing in any genre, across any platform - such as radio, theatre, podcasts, stand up or commercials.
