We also celebrate that it is eighty years, to the month, since the very first Bentley Drivers Club Dinner Dance at The Dorchester. In tribute to these remarkable milestones, we return to the iconic hotel for an unforgettable evening of elegance, heritage, and celebration.

We are delighted to announce that the 2026 Concours will journey north to Crewe, home of Bentley Motors, from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July. In this landmark 90th Anniversary year, we warmly encourage as many Members as possible to join us for an unforgettable celebration befitting this extraordinary milestone. Thursday 23 July A Warm Northern Welcome For those arriving early, Rookery Hall will host an evening reception to welcome you to the North.

Brian Gush, former Director of Motorsport at Bentley Motors, has been lined up as guest speaker at the annual BDC Competitions Day next month, the Club has announced. A current Trustee of the WOBMF, Brian (pictured) is sure to provide an entertaining and informative talk at the Clubhouse in Wroxton on Saturday 24 January, just as he did when speaking at Talks Day in 2024.

Many congratulations to Lewis Fox who picked up the coveted Frank Clement Memorial Trophy for BDC Racing Driver of the Year 2025 at the Club’s annual Competitions Awards Dinner. He was presented with his award by Competitions Captain Harry Johnson (pictured) at the black-tie ceremony held at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club in London’s Pall Mall last Friday.

We would like to invite all Club Members and their guests to our traditional Open House Christmas Buffet at the Clubhouse in Wroxton on Wednesday 3 December. The gathering, between 12 noon and 3pm, will be quite informal and Members are very welcome to call in and join us at any point. A delicious light finger buffet and drinks will be served (see menu below).

We are pleased to confirm that the 2026 Summer Garden Party & Concours will take place over the weekend of Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July. By kind invitation, Bentley Motors will host the Club at its Pyms Lane site in Crewe during the weekend, with the main Concours event to be held at nearby Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa (pictured) in Nantwich, Cheshire, on the Sunday. To help celebrate the BDC's 90th anniversary in 2026, the Club is hoping for the largest turnout of Bentleys for many years.

It is with great sadness that the BDC has to announce the passing of one of its most respected and long-standing Members, Peter Morley. He was 91. Peter is regarded as one of the Club’s most enthusiastic and successful racing drivers, who began competing in the 1950s; he enjoyed a long track career, winning many significant races along the way, before finally hanging up his helmet aged a sprightly 80.

Huge congratulations to George Rombouts-Howitt whose pristine 1939 Derby 4¼ Drophead Coupé (pictured), clothed in eye-catching Park Ward bodywork, was named as the overall Concours winner at the BDC's 77th Summer Concours. The event was held yesterday in the charming rural surroundings of the 65-acre Walton Hall country estate in Warwickshire. George, who was unfortunately absent on the day, won the prestigious WO Bentley Memorial Foundation Trophy.
