Six months ago today, conservative pundit Charlie Kirk was murdered while speaking to a large group of students at Utah Valley University. Millions of Americans witnessed the horrific crime—many inadvertently—as videos of the shooting autoplayed on their phones in the minutes following his death. Next month marks 27 years since the Columbine shooting that claimed the lives of 13 high school students and arguably began the era of mass shootings at American schools.
