The New York Giants defensive line is a topic of some concern in 2026. It could be fine after the team acquired a bevy of block eaters this year, apparently hoping they’ll free up their athletic linebackers to make plays. On the other hand, the veterans could fall off and the defense could suffer for a lack of pressure up the middle. We’ll see how their plan plays out this year, but the Giants will still likely need to invest in their defensive line for the long haul.
NY Giants training camp: Isaiah Likely needs to have breakout year on offense
“He’s a playmaking football player,” Harbaugh said. “I think Jaxson is going to really like him running the routes and being in his line of vision. He’s got a big catch radius. He can make plays after the catch. “He can get upfield. He can make people miss. He can run people over. He’s a very good perimeter blocker. You’ll see that. That’ll be good for our run game. All those things he brings to the table … … “I’ve seen him every day in practice [in Baltimore]. I’ve seen him make plays.
NY Giants news: Wide receiver questions, draft busts, more Original
Before heading to West Virginia later this month, one of the most unsettled positions groups for the New York Giants is wide receiver. The primary concern is the health of Malik Nabers and despite head coach John Harbaugh being optimistic that Nabers will participate in training camp, the extent of his availability and whether the third year pro can quickly regain his elite form remain uncertain.
Fantasy Football 2026: Preliminary tight end rankings and tiers
As usual, TE is top-heavy. In the quarterback rankings column, I talked about how deep that position is with quality. Tight end is deep too, but with mediocrity. Yes, we’ve seen a nice influx of young talent in recent seasons and especially last season. Still, in all six seasons of this decade, no more than six tight ends have averaged more than 10 fantasy points per game (FPPG) in Half PPR scoring. Last season, only four TEs hit that number, while a dozen averaged between 8-10 FPPG.
Do great players make for great teams? Original
I was intrigued by Ed’s piece on Monday highlighting the New York Giants players who made the Pro Football and Sports Network’s Top 100 list. Like some of you, my first reaction was: 32 teams, 100 players, three Giants - sounds about right if you do the math. In reality three Giants was a generous amount, considering that one of the three, Malik Nabers, played fewer than three games before suffering a season-ending injury. That then got me to thinking: Do more great players make for a great team?
NY Giants training camp: Wide receiver questions abound Original
Entering training camp, the 2026 New York Giants might face more questions at wide receiver than at any other spot on the roster. If you want to argue that there are as many or questions on the defensive line, fine. At least on offense, though, no position faces as many questions as wide receiver. After two surgeries to repair the OCL he tore in Week 4 of the 2025 season, there have been questions about Nabers’ availability and effectiveness early in the season.
NY Giants news: Are there many cooks in the Giants offensive kitchen? Original
As the New York Giants approach training camp, one of the biggest questions surrounding the team is not just how rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will develop, but how three very different offensive coaches will work together. Big Blue View’s Chris Pflum examines whether Matt Nagy, Brian Callahan, and Greg Roman can form a productive partnership or become an example of too many voices in one room. Be sure to read that, if you haven’t. Now, let’s check the headlines.
Summer Scouting: Can Indiana’s Charlie Becker be an elite wide receiver? Original
Will the New York Giants need a wide receiver in 2026? It’s impossible to say at this stage, but it’s certainly possible that they will. Even if Malik Nabers makes a full recovery and Malachi Fields impresses as a rookie, most of the Giants’ receiving corps is on a one-year contract. And if quarterback Jaxson Dart takes the next step in his development, the Giants will need to prioritize giving him weapons with which to attack defenses.
How can Matt Nagy, Brian Callahan, and Greg Roman coexist? Original
The New York Giants offensive coaching staff, and offense as a whole, is going to be one of the big storylines of the Giants’ 2026 training camp and preseason. Not only will we be talking about the development of quarterback Jaxson Dart and how the offense copes with the (potential) absence of Malik Nabers, the offensive coaching staff itself will be a storyline.
Survey: Who will be the NY Giants impact free agent signing? Original
Isaiah Likely (tight end) - Likely is stepping out of Mark Andrews’ shadow at tight end and will be one of the Giants’ primary receiving options. The belief is that Likely will not only give the Giants another receiving mismatch along side Theo Johnson, but that he’ll fit well with Jaxson Dart’s penchant for improvisation. Patrick Ricard (fullback) - Ricard followed Harbaugh from Baltimore to the Meadowlands to be an impact player, literally.
